Jummai Aduda Organisation Commence Disbursement Of Full Scholarships To Fct Indigent Children
The 12th of March 2013 will mark yet another milestone in the lives of 12 privileged orphaned children from the FCT as the JAO will begin visits to their various schools to pay tuition, books, uniform, and other allowances to the 12 lucky students that were selected for scholarships earlier this year, at the flag off event of the organization that held at the eagle square on the 2nd of February 2013. The organization offers full scholarship to selected students annually all from primary to completion of senior secondary school education.
The organization is focused on the FCT indigent population in its attempt to alleviate the sufferings of the highly marginalized original inhabitants of the geographical area that today makes up the FCT. The 12 awardees for 2013 are selected 2 each from the six area councils in the FCT. They were carefully selected to ensure that they all come from homes that ordinarily cannot afford to pay their way through school. of the twelve children 11 are female while one is male; JAO exercises a healthy bias towards promoting the girl child education in the FCT.
